Ariel Trust is committed to minimising its impact on the environment and taking positive steps to reduce its carbon footprint. Staff have recently taken part in a training session delivered by Groundwork Trust. The session helped us review our current practice and identify areas for improvement.
Recycling
Ariel staff are commited to recycling the resources we use. We have recycled office paper for a number of years but have found it difficult to recycle other items as there are not collection services. The Groundwork training session has inspired us to introduce a recycling scheme not just for Ariel, but for all the businesses that share our floor in Gostins Building.
We now collect cardboard, milk cartons, cans and compost and have a staff rota for taking items to a recycling point.
Fair Trade
Ariel Trust is a Fair Trade workplace; all our tea and coffee are purchased from a registered Fair Trade supplier.
