In addition to the classroom based activities contained on the Face Up CD-ROM we have developed some resources that can be used to engage the whole school. The resources are designed to raise awareness about what constitutes coercive and controlling behaviour and to promote a positive culture in your school, where this behaviour is not tolerated and is actively challenged.
We have produced a PowerPoint presentation that can be used to deliver an assembly and a series of posters that can be displayed around the school. Please note, the PowerPoint includes a link to a video on YouTube so you will need internet access in order to view the video. Some schools have had difficulties opening the PowerPoint with the video embedded into it; here is a version of the presentation without the video. You can use this link to watch the video directly of YouTube.
The poster campaign includes three posters that are designed to be displayed around the school; Bystander, Help and Control. There is also a fourth classroom poster designed to be displayed in the classrooms where the programme is being delivered, this focuses on examples of what constitutes abusive behaviour.
Also attached, is a list of national agencies and websites that can provide support to young people.
