Having completed an enjoyable and rewarding project at St. Julie’s Catholic High School with some enthusiastic students, received encouraging feedback from their adults, and experienced a supportive and fun working environment with my new Ariel Trust colleagues, I am now looking forward to the start of our next project.

St. Julie’s was a brilliant introduction to working with this company, showing us their attitude towards their freelancers and the way in which the company works. The knowledge and passion shown by our workshop leader, Rachael Mutch, set the tone for some lovely working moments and made the workshops a safe space, which encouraged the students to engage with the subject matter and gave us the freedom to work on the script without worry of censure or any idea being “wrong”.

The next project I will take part in is to be at Liverpool College. I am both excited and a little nervous as we won’t have Rachael there to hold our hands and will be stepping out as fully fledged leaders of the project. We obviously have full support of the team at Ariel Trust and I can say how much I appreciate the open lines of communication.

I hope to update soon with some more positive moments from our next Lottery Project. Onwards to more exciting sessions and impactful theatre-lead discovery!
