Ariel has spent the summer updating our ‘Skills to Resist Radicalisation’ based on feedback that we have received from teachers and their pupils. The new resource should support teachers to deliver even better impacts in relation to the Relationship Education curriculum and in meeting their duties under Prevent.
We resource now includes new support for the role plays that enables teachers to use simple techniques from forum theatre to structure the activities. These activities are supported by demonstration videos that are integrated into the website and which have been developed through close consultation with teachers during the last year.
The benefits of using the participative techniques, which include the teacher taking part in the role plays, are highlighted by Cath Clark from The District Primary School in St Helens in this video.
