All our staff have significant experience in the broadcast industry, many of them are employed on a freelance or sessional basis. This means that the team can expand or contract in response to project workload.

Paul Ainsworth (director)
Paul is an experienced manager with a background in training and development. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management, with BA Hons (Politics).

Steph Jeremie (senior administrator)
Stephanie Jeremie has been with Ariel for eight years and has a total of twelve years experience in administration, working in community organisations including Liverpool 8 Law Centre. Stephanie is currently responsible for administering Ariel’s financial systems.

Tim Brady (course co-ordinator)
Tim Brady a presenter for Magic 1548. Tim is a specialist in computer based radio production, he has ten years experience with Magic 1548 and Rock FM, he also has a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Helen Johnson (development officer)
Helen Johnson is a Project Manager with a background in training within the Community and Voluntary Sector. She also has a BA Honours degree in Accounting and experience of financial monitoring and Management Information Systems..

Christine Leung (schools project worker)
Christine has experience as a researcher and journalist in the broadcasting and print media. While employed as a freelance researcher at the BBC in Manchester, she worked regularly on BBC ONE’s Heaven & Earth Show. She also contributed to news output on GMR’s Drivetime Show and Radio ONE’s Newsbeat.

Geri Burns-McComb (administrator)
Geri takes responsibility for a large proportion of the organisations administration. Having worked in and around community arts in Merseyside for a number of years, Geri is well informed as to what is happening in the local art scene.

Helen Paton (schools project manager)
Helen has five years experience of working in the radio industry with her main role being a member of the Religious Affairs panel for BBC Radio Merseyside, both planning and presenting various aspects of the programme. She has a BA Hons in Journalism and Communications and has worked within the education sector prior to her post at Ariel Trust.
