Rachael Mutch, an experienced actor and arts practitioner with substantial youth work experience, was appointed to lead our TNL Communities Fund project in 2019. Rachael brings specialist knowledge about ‘Forum Theatre’ to the organisation; this is an approach focused on using drama to play out and review scenarios, testing different approaches and actively engaging the audience to shape these approaches. She has worked with a number of local theatre companies as an actor, writer and producer including the Everyman & Playhouse, Liverpool.
Rachael currently works in schools delivering violence reduction projects using forum theatre. Her approach focuses on using forum theatre as a means to develop and practice positive communication strategies in order to refuse and resist grooming and exploitation.
