The Director, Paul Ainsworth, brings a hands-on approach to the role and can regularly be found facilitating workshops in which children explore positive strategies that they might use to resist the processes of grooming.

Paul also delivers a Merseyside wide programme of teacher training and has worked with more than 200 teachers this school year (22/23). Feedback from this network of teachers is critical to the design of violence reduction education and Paul is focused on learning from this network. In addition, Paul works with independent evaluators to measure and analyse the impact of Ariel’s programmes, feeding this into Ariel's design process.

Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Management and is committed to the use of effective management practice to lead a creative team capable of developing the most effective violence reduction resources for primary school.
