Face Up was launched at the end of the 2010/11 academic year. Evidence shows that yet again our approach is delivering improvements in academic performance and at the same time changing young people's attitudes. We have produced a short report detailing the initial results from one school; the full report will be published in due course.
A cost effective approach
Our software packages are developing a strong evidence base that demonstrates that they are effective in raising academic attainment and changing attitudes in relation to key social issues. Our resources have been shown to be particularly effective in engaging and motivating young people currently failing in core subjects and can support schools to work with this group to achieve the Government’s floor standards.
Results and Evidence
Ariel Trust learning resources are demonstrated to improve core curriculum performance. Using 'Senseless' in the English curriculum, one Liverpool school saw 80% of pupils exceeding their predicted grades and one class achieving 23 A*-A grades in English.
The software has been adapted to the KS3/4 English Language curriculum and Personal Social Health & Economic education (PSHE).
The full learning resource contains four Speaking and Listening activities, large and small group discussions, role play exercises, debates and PowerPoint presentations.
To improve your school's performance in core curricular subjects and educate your class about the issues surrounding domestic violence then order this unique learning resource now.
“The CPD was in-depth and useful. The group discussion raised various important issues.”
Introducing one of our resources into your school can be a very cost-effective way of improving your schools performance. We also provide customised training sessions for teachers to help them to embed the programme. You can purchase Face Up by contacting Rachel on 0151 707 8211 or email@example.com
