Radio Industry Out in Force For Students' Debate
06 October 2008
Senior staff from a number of Merseyside's radio stations joined Ariel students recently to debate the latest issues concerning the radio industry.
Jonathan Hallewell, Deputy Editor, BBC Radio Merseyside, Juice 107.6 presenter Steve Timmins and Georgina Rycik, one of the new owners of KCR 106.7 were the guests for a question and answer programme recorded as part of the students' training course.
The subjects discussed included employment prospects, the amount of local content broadcast by stations and how managers find and develop talent.
When the recording had finished and the mics were switched off the guests and students continued the discussion in a less formal atmosphere.
