NEW Primary School Resource & your RSVP
20 May 2010
July sees the launch of Ariel Trust's new 'Heritage Project' CD-Rom resource... and to mark the occasion we are holding two events. Both will be hosted by Brunswick Boys Club.
July 5th: teachers from all over Merseyside are invited to come along and see the resource for themselves. They will also pick up a free copy of the CD-Rom for their school. 4pm start.
July 6th: everyone is welcome to come, meet the people involved and find out about the history of Bootle. 12pm start.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the project was carried out in partnership with Brunswick Boys Club members and the local community.
The resource (which has been mapped to the primary school curriculum) helps pupils learn about local history through changes in youth culture, fashion, discipline and punishment, relationships and play.
The project involved teenagers, and former members of the Brunswick Youth Club, talking to people in their local community about the history of Bootle. Having developed and recorded material for the CD ROM, the boys have also gained an OCN in Radio Production throughout this past year.
We are excited to use this opportunity to celebrate the excellent work and achievements of the young people.
